Job Description

Chelmsford College is seeking a passionate, creative and industry-aware Lecturer in Visual Communications & Fashion to join our successful Creative Industries department on a 0.6 FTE basis.

This exciting role involves delivering engaging and innovative teaching across level 2 and level 3 Visual Communications and Fashion programmes, inspiring learners to develop their creative, technical and professional skills.

You will support students in exploring areas such as visual storytelling, branding, styling, fashion design, textile techniques, garment construction, trend forecasting, creative research and portfolio development, preparing them for progression into higher education and the creative industries.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • Holds a relevant degree or equivalent industry experience in Visual Communications, Fashion, Styling or a related subject.
  • Has teaching experience or a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
  • Possesses current industry knowledge and a passion for creative education.
  • Can motivate and inspire learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Has strong organisational, communication and digital skills.
  • Is committed to delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
