This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our innovative and supportive Engineering team. As a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact by delivering high-quality education and hands-on experience to our students.
What We’re Looking For
Industry Expertise: Solid industry experience and continuous professional development, you’ll bring valuable insights from the engineering world into the classroom. Teaching experience is desirable, although not essential.
Desirable Skills: Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) is essential. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality learning within Engineering. Broad base engineering knowledge is required which may include Mechanical engineering principles - statics - dynamics, - mechanical systems - materials and manufacture - maintenance practices - CAD and engineering drawing - pneumatics and hydraulics - workshop theory and practical applications - health and safety etc... You will be expected to contribute to curriculum development and work collaboratively with colleagues and employers to ensure provision reflects current industry practice and skills needs.

Qualifications: You must hold a minimum of SCQF Level 7 in an Engineering qualification, alongside a recognised engineering apprenticeship (SCQF Level 6 or equivalent).
