The Vacancy
HSDC is seeking a Lecturer/Teacher of Business to ensure outstanding success and progression through the delivery of inspirational teaching, learning, and assessment.
The post is 0.1FTE on a Temporary until the end of the Autumn Term
The ideal post holder will have the skills, knowledge, and experience to support the delivery of Level 2 and 3 OCR Cambridge Technical in Business with topics such as Human Resources, Marketing, Training & Employment, Personal Selling, Financial Forecasting, Business Ethics, Business Online, and Customer Relations
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Planning effectively and delivering high quality teaching, learning, assessment, and support, leading to excellent attendance, retention, and achievement.
- To deliver formal scheduled teaching duties, tutorials (as appropriate) and student assessment.
- To record, share, and regularly monitor student progress using College information systems.
- To prepare learning plans, schemes of work, keep relevant records, and undertake all administration relevant to teaching duties.
- To attend parents’ evenings, marketing, and promotional events.

Requirements

You will need:
- Level 5 or equivalent Teaching Qualification such as Certificate in Education or PGCE or willingness to work towards this.
- High level of specialist knowledge of the subject area.
- At least 2 years’ experience in teaching the subject area to full-time or part-time students (Desirable).
- Degree in relevant subject (Desirable).
