Al-Rushd Independent Online School provides access to British education through a fully remote learning model, allowing students to study from home. Role Description

The Lecturer of Law – A Level will deliver high-quality online teaching to A Level learners, designing and presenting engaging lessons in alignment with the British curriculum and the school’s Islamic values. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Preparing lesson plans and learning materials
  • Delivering live or recorded lectures
  • Setting and marking assignments and examinations
  • Providing timely feedback to support student progress

  • Maintaining accurate records of attendance, performance, and achievement

Additional tasks may involve:

  • Contributing to curriculum development
  • Participating in virtual staff meetings
  • Communicating regularly with parents and guardians when required

This is a part-time remote role, requiring reliable online presence during scheduled teaching hours.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Law and A Level Law curriculum, with the ability to teach foundational legal principles clearly and accurately.
  • Expertise in specific legal domains such as Labor and Employment Law and Criminal Law, with the ability to integrate case studies and practical examples.
  • Demonstrated experience in Lecturing or teaching at A Level or equivalent, including online or blended learning environments.
  • Research skills to stay current with legal developments and best practices in law education, and to incorporate up-to-date materials into teaching.
  • Relevant academic qualifications in Law (e.g., Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law or closely related field); teaching certification or PGCE/PGDE is an advantage.
  • Strong digital literacy, including proficiency with virtual classroom platforms, learning management systems, and online assessment tools.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to support diverse learners in a remote setting.
  • Alignment with Islamic values and an understanding of faith-sensitive education; prior experience in Islamic or faith-based schooling is beneficial.
