Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing x2

A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants currently working in clinical practice who are interested in gaining experience in academia. Secondments from practice are actively encouraged.

Applicants must meet Kingston University’s learning and teaching standards. By the end of probation, you must achieve the relevant UKPSF recognition if not already obtained—either through our accredited Introduction to Learning and Teaching programme for new lecturers or the Kingston Academic Practice Standards framework for experienced educators.

There are two part-time (14.80 hours per week), fixed-term positions available until 31 July 2027 with a starting salary of £18,010 per annum (40% pro rata to £45,025 per annum) for a Lecturer and £20,064 per annum (40% pro rata to £50,160 per annum) for a Senior Lecturer, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.

This post is available as a result of maternity leave and it is expected that you will hold it for the full period. However, should the substantive post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month. The maternity cover is required until 31 July 2027.
