Job Description

JOB TITLE: LECTURER PERFORMING ARTS
LOCATION: KING’S LYNN
HOURS: 22.5 PER WEEK
SALARY: £19,401 - £24,466 PER ANNUM (£31,904 - £40,233 FTE)
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual trained in Performing Arts. You will be a well-rounded performer with skills and knowledge within singing, dancing, acting and be able to develop our learners as ‘Triple Threat’ performers. We have excellent facilities including a fully equipped dance studio and theatre. You must have a minimum of a level 3 relevant qualification, as well as Level 2 maths and English qualifications or be willing to obtain these.
Never taught before or don’t hold a teaching qualification? Don’t worry, we will support you to achieve this through our teacher development programme where you’ll be supported to obtain these qualifications at your own pace and under the expert guidance of our Learning practice.
As a Lecturer you will be able to influence the way the curriculum is delivered to our learners, and will also hold course director responsibilities. Please see the attached job description for the full course director responsibilities.

Please note that your point on the salary scale will be determined based on both experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments will not normally be made at point 12 or above (£37,454 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving Creative Arts team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength. We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.
