Temporary, Part-Time

£43,402 – £52,247 per annum, pro rata

We are seeking to expand our register of part-time, temporary Lecturers in Plumbing and Gas to deliver mobile heat pump training in rural and remote areas of Scotland as part of the Green Heat Installer Engagement Programme.

The successful candidate must hold:

  • Plumbing SVQ Level 3, or equivalent level of craft qualification
  • Certification in renewable technologies
  • Current Gas ACS certification and appropriate assessor and verifier qualifications
  • Certification in Electrical Safe Isolation or other electrical qualification
  • Relevant industrial experience

With strong organisational and planning skills you will also have the ability to travel around Scotland in our fully equipped mobile heat pump training centre vehicle. Previous teaching experience would be advantageous.

Mobile Heat Pump Training Centre – Energy Saving Trust

Please note as this role involves driving the training centre van the successful candidate will require a current driving licence.

Salary placing on the above salary scale will be dependent on previous experience and qualifications.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by South Lanarkshire College.
