Duties include:

• To teach on modules and courses at HE levels 4-7 in Psychology, including curation, adaptation, and creation of module teaching materials.
• The design, creation, moderation, and quality assurance of appropriate module assessment.
• The preparation and dissemination of both generic and specific formative and summative student feedback.
• To contribute to quality monitoring, enhancement, and the continuous improvement of the curriculum, teaching, and quality of provision.
• To demonstrate high standards of engagement and best practice with our social learning platform including student communications, assurance of timely and accurate information, and high standard teaching materials.
• To ensure that students have an effective learning experience by providing high-quality academic guidance and advice and by enhancing their retention/progression and employability.

Qualifications Required

• Master’s degree in an appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
• A teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one if not already held
• PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous

Our Successful Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates who will help lead the evolution and development of the School’s Psychology provision at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Someone with the vision to address the demands of teaching in the twenty-first century and who recognises the need for new ways of engaging with the subject and how this new pedagogy can be explored and developed creatively through new technologies. Knowledge of higher education processes is important, and experience of teaching through workshops, seminars, lectures, and assessment is essential to the role.

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in Psychology with high standards of teaching, learning, and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.

Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience supporting, enhancing, and engaging in an ‘active learning’ pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting student success.

As a global education provider, experience and awareness of learners' cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
