Training Contract Opportunity at Hill Dickinson

At Hill Dickinson, we believe the best lawyers are those who are genuinely passionate about the sectors they work in. That's why our unique training contract allows you to tailor your experience and develop your expertise in the areas that interest you most.

Over the course of your two-year training contract, you'll complete four six-month seats, gaining hands-on experience across at least three different teams while developing the skills and confidence needed to succeed as a solicitor.

From the outset, your seats will be aligned to one of our specialist business groups. In Leeds, you can experience a sector-specific training contract in Business Services or Health.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Insight Day

In conjunction with your training contract application, you can apply to attend an insight day in the UK office you have applied to. While attendance is optional, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this valuable opportunity where you can gain insight into your chosen business group, meet the people you could potentially work alongside, and develop a deeper understanding of our clients, sector, and culture.
