Team: Legacy Administration

Location: Chelwood Gate, East Sussex (Office based each Monday, Wednesday & Friday with some flexibility)

Work pattern: 35 hours per week

Salary: Up to £28,454.94 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Cats Protection are the UK’s largest cat welfare charity, and we’re seeking an ambitious, knowledgeable and compassionate individual to assist our Legacy Admin Team

Responsibilities of our Legacy Assistant:

As the Legacy Assistant you will be part of the Legacy Admin Team which is responsible for the administration of all legacies left to Cats Protection, ensuring that our supporters’ final wishes are fulfilled and their legacies are able to help as many cats as possible. The role will involve providing administrative assistance to the Legacy Admin Team, including the accurate and timely recording of all legacy notifications, being the main point of contact for all queries legacy related and administering our Branch legacy allocation process. The successful candidate will also manage their own case of pecuniary legacies, undertaking regular reviews to ensure payment is received.

About the Legacy Assistant:

Our team is responsible for the administration of all legacies left to Cats Protection, ensuring that our supporters’ final wishes are fulfilled and their legacies are able to help as many cats as possible. We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation Directorate

What we’re looking for in our Legacy Assistant:

  • Experience of using and managing/maintaining a database
  • Experience in a public facing/customer service role
  • Experience of admin activities such as preparing reports, writing letters, managing and triaging email inbox, tracking responses and maintaining records
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate well with a wide range of people
  • Good attention to detail, organised and methodical
  • Able to work as part of a team and build relationships with relevant teams and stakeholders both internally and externally.
