Residential Property Solicitor | 2-3 PQE - Legal 500 Firm

Quality residential work. Real progression. And a genuine route towards Partnership.

We're working with an established law firm that is looking to add a 2-3 PQE Residential Property Solicitor to its growing Property team.

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who has already built a solid foundation in Residential Property but is still looking for somewhere they can develop, take on more responsibility and ultimately work towards Partnership.

The team currently consists of four Residential Property fee earners, supported by four Residential Property Partners, giving you plenty of experienced lawyers around you and direct access to senior people.

The Work

Your work will include:

  • Residential sales and purchases
  • Remortgages
  • Shared ownership
  • Auctions
  • Bridging work
  • Building Safety Act matters
  • Other general Residential Property transactions

The target is approximately seven completed matters per month, giving you the opportunity to focus on quality client service rather than simply churning through a high-volume caseload.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who They're Looking For

We're looking for a strong 2-3 PQE Residential Property Solicitor who is:

  • Confident handling residential transactions
  • Comfortable speaking directly with clients and picking up the phone
  • Proactive and commercially aware
  • Experienced, but still mouldable and open to learning
  • Comfortable working closely with Partners
  • Interested in developing their own client relationships and business development skills
  • Able to demonstrate Building Safety Act experience

Experience in leasehold enfranchisement would also be advantageous but not essential.

They're looking for someone who has good experience behind them but is still hungry to learn, develop and grow alongside the team.

Progression & Business Development

This isn't simply a case of joining a team and managing a caseload.

Succession planning is already in place, creating a genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their career towards Partnership.

Working Pattern

The role is initially fully office-based during a three-month probation period. Then hybrid after.

The firm is ideally looking for someone who enjoys being around the team and values having direct access to the Partners, rather than someone looking for a predominantly remote role.

Package & Benefits

  • Healthcare
  • Up to 7% matched pension contribution
  • Bonus scheme
  • 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
  • One paid day per year for charity work

If you're a Residential Property Solicitor who wants to join a team where you can develop your technical skills, build your own client base and work towards something bigger than simply managing a caseload, this could be a very interesting next step.
