Job Title: Legal Administrator - Front Loading Investigations Team

Salary: £27,650 - £30,629 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm)
Contract Type: Permanent
Department: Fitness to Practise, Legal Services
Location: Kennington, London SE11
Working Pattern: Hybrid working with a minimum of 1-2 office days per week
About the Team
The Front Loading Investigations Team plays a critical role in protecting the public by managing fitness to practise concerns from initial assessment through to conclusion. Cases may close where concerns do not meet the required threshold, conclude at the Investigating Committee stage, or progress to a final hearing before a statutory committee.
About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Administrator to provide high-quality administrative and case management support to our investigators and legal professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is interested in supporting public protection and regulatory work.
You will play an important role in ensuring cases progress efficiently by supporting communication with case parties, maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation and assisting with hearing preparation.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing routine communications with case parties, witnesses and other stakeholders through email, post and other communication channels.
- Monitoring shared inboxes and correspondence, issuing standard communications and following up on outstanding information or documents.
- Requesting, tracking and processing case-related material and documentation.
- Assisting with the scheduling and coordination of witness interviews and related arrangements.
- Supporting the preparation of hearing bundles for interim order applications, reviews, Investigating Committee meetings, preliminary hearings and final hearings.
- Working with colleagues to prepare, organise, redact, file and serve documentation to relevant parties.
- Maintaining accurate, complete and up-to-date case records and databases.
Person Specification
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- A genuine interest in public protection and delivering a high-quality service.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience working with large volumes of information and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate sensitively and professionally with a wide range of people.
