Legal Administrator
The Land and Rural Business team at Gillespie Macandrew is a long-standing advisor to the rural sector and support clients on all aspects of purchase and sales, leases, estate management, crofting, renewable energy and environmental considerations. The team have an excellent opportunity for a full time Legal Administrator to join our Land and Rural Business Team based in our Edinburgh office. The role is to provide a full administration service to the department as part of a professional business support team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Support new client onboarding, including engagement documentation, terms of business and AML requirements
- Provide administrative and finance support for client matters and transactions
- Prepare reports and maintain client information using the case management system
- Request and prepare searches, registration documentation and LBTT returns
- Produce accurate, professional correspondence, reports, forms and other documentation, including dictation where required
- Coordinate travel arrangements, diary management and file administration.
- Assist with the review and improvement of departmental processes and procedures

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a similar role within a professional services environment.
Key Attributes Include
- You will have excellent communication skills and be an excellent team player
- You will have strong organisation and prioritisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines and manage a varied workload
- You will have strong attention to detail skills
- You will have strong Microsoft Office and document editing skills
