Our Legal team is growing! We have an exciting new opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join our inhouse Legal team, based in our central Birmingham office, on a full-time permanent basis. Within this role, the focus is to deliver a customer focussed legal service, and, primarily, to support the team in defending Disrepair legal claims.
You'll join a small team of Disrepair Administrators providing support across a range of administrative tasks for the Housing Legal Disrepair Legal Team, using a high level of organisation and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Preparing high-quality correspondence and legal documents for our Solicitors and legal case workers for day-to-day management of cases and in preparation for court.
- Monitoring cases and ensuring that all statutory and internal deadlines are met effectively.
- Maintaining inboxes, diaries and trackers.
- Processing invoices and arranging payments.
Our Ideal Candidate
This role would suit a personable individual who is highly organised and enjoys working as part of a team. You'll also demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Previous administrative experience - this could be within a legal or similarly a regulated setting, and might include preparing bundles, drafting letters, diary management for a team of professionals, managing inboxes, and responding to stakeholder queries and enquiries
- Experience of using Excel and/or case management systems to manage spreadsheets, trackers and to input and manage data.
- Ability to develop strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Disrepair cases and/or legal principals or of housing is beneficial but not essential.

Due to the nature of the administrative support required by the Disrepair Legal team, you can expect to work from our Birmingham, Bath Row office alongside our Solicitors/Legal Assistants at least 3 days for full time and 2 days per week part time, with some scope to work from home for the remaining working days.
