We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join our friendly Litigation team in Thame. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the fee earners and paralegals in the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, letters, forms, and reports
  • Audio typing and transcribing dictation from solicitors and other legal staff accurately and promptly.
  • Supporting the production of bundles, enclosures, and other case-related documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records on our case management system
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, and directing queries appropriately
  • Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring sensitive information is handled securely.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and relevant legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Opening new files and closing files when a matter is complete
  • Providing general administrative support to fee earners and the wider office team.

Skills And Experience

  • Previous experience in a legal secretary, legal administrator, or similar administrative role preferred.
  • Strong audio typing / dictation skills and fast, accurate typing speed.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and document formatting ability.
  • Good understanding of legal terminology and legal office procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
  • Ability to work independently, use initiative, and maintain confidentiality at all times

This is a full-time permanent position based in one of our Thame offices, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm.
