The Vacancy
Legal Advisor
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Legal Advisor to join Scott Brownrigg. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional with experience in the architecture, construction or professional services sector who is passionate about managing risk, supporting project delivery and providing practical legal advice that enables the business to achieve its strategic objectives.
Working closely with the Strategic Board, Directors and project teams across our UK and international studios, you will play a key role in advising on appointments, contracts, claims and compliance matters. You will help protect the interests of the practice while supporting a collaborative and solutions-focused approach to client relationships and project delivery.
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with excellent commercial awareness, strong negotiation skills and the ability to balance legal risk with business needs in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Although this position is based in London, we welcome applications from candidates who would prefer to work from any of our studio locations or remotely. We are flexible in accommodating the right candidate. Please state your preferred working location in your cover note if it differs from London.

Your qualifications and experience
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Law, Business, or Insurance.
- Significant post-qualification experience in the architecture/ construction industry.
- Familiarity with RIBA appointments and construction industry contracts would be an advantage.
- Familiarity and experience with BIM and digital project management systems would be an advantage.
