Legal Adviser (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Hybrid Working | 60% Office-Based | Permanent

Are you a legally qualified professional with an interest in the offshore energy or maritime sector? Do you enjoy combining legal research, stakeholder engagement and committee support in a role where your work has a direct impact on an international industry?

We're recruiting on behalf of a respected international membership organisation that represents businesses operating across the offshore marine and energy sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Adviser to support the Chief Executive and play a key role in delivering legal, contractual and regulatory initiatives that benefit a global membership.

The organisation is open to considering applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time working arrangements.

The Role

Working closely with senior leadership and a specialist legal committee, you'll help coordinate legal and regulatory activity, monitor industry developments and support the production of guidance, briefings and member communications. This is a varied, member-facing role offering excellent exposure to legal, commercial and regulatory issues within an international industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the day-to-day contact for a specialist legal and compliance committee.
  • Coordinate committee meetings, agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.
  • Conduct legal, contractual and regulatory research across the offshore and maritime sectors.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, producing concise summaries and briefings.
  • Support the preparation of consultation responses, guidance documents and industry resources.
  • Build strong relationships with members, committee representatives and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to member enquiries, escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
  • Produce high-quality reports, presentations and briefing papers.
  • Contribute to wider organisational projects and initiatives as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
