The ideal candidate will have strong recruitment industry experience, particularly in commercial contracts and contract negotiation. This is a hands-on role, working closely with the commercial and operational teams to provide practical legal support across the business.

You will report to our external Head of Legal and will be responsible for managing day-to-day legal matters, with support and guidance on more complex issues where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales and management teams to negotiate contracts and resolve contractual issues.
  • Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to the business.
  • Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks.
  • Advise on recruitment-specific legal matters.
  • Provide support on data protection and GDPR matters.
  • Assist with civil and commercial disputes and liaise with external solicitors where appropriate.
  • Support international compliance and cross-border contractual matters.
  • Maintain and improve contract templates, processes and legal documentation.
  • Manage contractors onboarding and compliance
  • Escalate more complex or high-risk matters to the external Head of Legal.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
