Legal and Policy Analyst at Powerverse
As we scale, the complexity of our legal, regulatory, and policy environment is increasing — particularly as we build out our energy trading capabilities. We are looking for someone to help us stay on top of this in a structured, practical way.
As a Legal and Policy Analyst at Powerverse, you will take ownership of our policy environment, support day-to-day legal operations, and ensure we remain compliant as we grow.
This is not a traditional legal role. It sits at the intersection of legal, operations, and governance — ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity, making policies practical, and ensuring things actually get done. You will act as the connective tissue between legal advice, internal teams, and execution — including supporting newer areas such as energy trading compliance as they are built out.
What You'll Do
Policy Ownership & Governance
- Own and maintain all company policies (HR, compliance, information security, data protection, etc.)
- Ensure policies are up-to-date, version controlled, and aligned with current regulations and business practices
- Organise and maintain a clear, auditable policy repository
- Coordinate periodic policy reviews with internal stakeholders and external advisors
Data Protection & GDPR
- Support GDPR compliance across the business, working with our external DPO platform
- Maintain key documentation (e.g. ROPA, DPIAs, consent frameworks)
- Ensure alignment between product flows (e.g. app onboarding) and legal documentation (privacy policies, terms)
- Monitor regulatory developments impacting data usage and customer-facing products

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
