Chalk Hill Group Supports Regional Law Firm in Recruiting a Legal Assistant
Chalk Hill Group are supporting a regional law firm with an excellent reputation with their recruitment of a Legal Assistant to join their Private Client team in the New Forest.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a client-focused legal environment and wants to play an important role in supporting fee earners across a varied caseload.
The Role
You’ll provide high-quality administrative and procedural support to Partners and Associates, helping matters progress efficiently while maintaining a professional, compassionate and responsive service to clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a professional and welcoming first point of contact for clients
- Supporting client appointments, onboarding and ID checks
- Preparing and maintaining accurate files, correspondence and document packs
- Managing file opening/closing procedures and tracking deadlines
- Assisting with probate, trust and estate administration documentation
- Producing documents from digital dictation and audio typing
- Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
- Supporting billing and general administrative processes
- Liaising with clients, financial institutions, professional advisers and other third parties
- Providing wider team support during busy periods

About You
- Previous experience working in a law firm
- Private Client, Wills, Trusts or Probate experience is desirable
- Strong typing, audio typing and document production skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Confident use of Microsoft Office and case management systems
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
