Are you an experienced Legal Assistant looking to develop a long-term career in Private Client?

We are recruiting a Legal Assistant to join our Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning team in Chandlers Ford, where you will be part of a supportive firm that values its people and encourages progression.

This role offers the chance to be closely involved in the day-to-day running of a busy Private Client team, supporting work that is varied, personal and often important to clients at key moments in their lives. It would suit someone who brings a calm, thoughtful approach, enjoys building trusted working relationships and takes pride in delivering a high standard of client care.

As a Legal Assistant, you will help keep the team running smoothly while providing a professional and reassuring first point of contact for new clients. You will support fee earners with high-quality administrative and organisational work, helping to deliver an efficient and client-focused service.

  • Managing physical and digital filing systems to ensure documents are organised and accessible
  • Drafting correspondence, legal documents and other paperwork as required
  • Answering and making telephone calls, liaising confidently and professionally with clients and third parties
  • Assisting with client onboarding, including opening and closing files in line with compliance procedures
  • Carrying out general administrative duties such as scanning, photocopying and data entry
  • Supporting fee earners with diary management, scheduling appointments and managing multiple diaries

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience within a law firm in an administrative or support role would be helpful, ideally within Private Client, but we are also interested in hearing from organised and client-focused candidates who are keen to develop in Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning.
  • Confident speaking with new clients and acting as a professional first point of contact
  • Exceptionally organised, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proactive, detail-focused and keen to be part of a collaborative team
  • Motivated by the opportunity to grow and progress within Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning
