Legal Assistant - Commercial Contracts & NDAs
Remote, UK
Why This Role?
Are you looking to build your commercial legal career within a dynamic technology business?
We're seeking a Legal Assistant to support the review, negotiation and management of commercial agreements across a fast-moving organisation. You'll work closely with legal, sales, procurement and operational teams, helping ensure contracts progress efficiently while protecting the business from legal and commercial risk.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial contract experience, particularly NDAs, who wants to broaden their in-house legal exposure and develop valuable commercial legal skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Reviewing, drafting and coordinating a range of commercial agreements including NDAs, customer contracts and supplier agreements
- Supporting contract negotiations and facilitating efficient contract turnaround
- Managing contract approvals, execution processes and legal workflows
- Maintaining contract management systems, legal records and document repositories
- Acting as a first point of contact for routine legal and contractual queries
- Supporting sales, procurement and commercial teams with contractual requirements
- Conducting legal research and preparing reports, presentations and supporting documentation
- Assisting with compliance, governance and risk management activities
- Liaising with stakeholders, customers, suppliers and external legal advisers where required
- Supporting improvements to legal processes, templates, playbooks and self-service resources

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience reviewing, administering or managing commercial contracts
- Strong experience working with NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements)
- Understanding of commercial contracting principles and contract lifecycle management
- Ability to identify potential contractual risks and escalate appropriately
- Strong written communication and document drafting skills
- Legal research and analytical skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Desirable
- Experience working within an in-house legal team
- Exposure to technology, software, cloud, cyber security, telecommunications or managed services sectors
- Experience supporting MSAs, SaaS agreements and software licensing contracts
- Familiarity with public sector frameworks and procurement processes
- Experience using contract management and e-signature platforms such as DocuSign, Adobe Sign or Ironclad
- Law degree, GDL, CILEX qualification or equivalent legal training
- Understanding of UK GDPR and commercial compliance requirements
