Role: Conveyancing Assistant

Location: London

Proper Recruitment are working with a well-established law firm who are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Conveyancing Assistant to join their residential real estate team in London. This is a junior role and would not suit LPC/SQE graduates aiming for a training contract.

You'll be assisting a partner and two other fee-earners in an administrative capacity, primarily dealing with new client documentation, AML checks, and providing administrative assistance throughout the conveyancing process.

Responsibilities:

  • File opening and AML compliance
  • Administrative exchange formalities, completion and post-completion tasks
  • Drafting financial statements and invoices
  • Submitting property forms
  • Archiving and general administration
  • Updating internal and external systems

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a legal environment is desirable (training provided)
  • Genuine interest in developing a career in this area of law
  • Able to use initiative, commercially aware, good interpersonal skills
  • Team player with flexibility
