We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join Brady Solicitors on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career within the legal sector. You may be a recent law graduate, have some administrative experience, or simply be looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy and growing law firm.
Working onsite alongside our legal teams, you will provide essential administrative and case support, gaining exposure to legal processes, case management systems and client communication.
Previous legal experience is not essential – we are looking for someone organised, proactive and keen to learn.
As a Legal Assistant, you will support our fee earners and wider legal teams with a variety of administrative and case-related tasks, including:
- Accurately inputting and maintaining information on our case management system, Proclaim
- Opening new matters and ensuring client and case information is recorded accurately
- Supporting the preparation and progression of legal correspondence, including Letters Before Action
- Preparing Client Care Letters, Terms of Business and other documentation where required
- Organising, maintaining and archiving legal files and supporting documentation
- Assisting with compliance requirements, including money laundering checks and liaising with clients where necessary
- Supporting with client and referrer information on our systems
- Liaising professionally with clients and providing updates where appropriate
- Taking payments and accurately recording information when required
- Assisting with incoming telephone calls and directing queries to the appropriate team
- Supporting with incoming and outgoing post, printing and general office administration
- Working closely with colleagues across the firm to ensure cases and administrative tasks are progressed efficiently

You will ideally have:
- A strong interest in developing a career within the legal sector
- A Law degree or legal studies background or relevant administrative experience – although neither is essential
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confident written and verbal communication
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive, positive and adaptable approach
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
- Confidence working with systems and learning new technology
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
