About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and compassionate Legal Assistant to join our busy Family Law team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting Solicitors on a wide range of family law matters, while providing exceptional service to clients. Core tasks relating to the role include:
- Customer and matter inception - including file opening and closing
- ID verification checks
- Ensuring file hygiene in accordance with compliance requirements
- Drafting standard letters to clients
- Post scanning and allocation
- Support with new enquiries into the team which includes answering the phone, emails and meeting customers in reception
- Call handling for clients and third parties (court, social services, counsel etc)
- Preparing court bundles and copying
- Court attendance

About you
You will be a highly organised and proactive individual with excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service. You understand the importance of professionalism, discretion and empathy when supporting clients who may be going through challenging personal circumstances. The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience, preferably within a legal environment, and be confident managing a busy workload in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential.
We are looking for someone who holds a Law degree or CILEx equivalent qualification. You must be enthusiastic, dependable and committed to providing outstanding support to both clients and colleagues.
