Role Description
The Legal Assistant will provide day-to-day support to conveyancers, including preparing and managing legal documents, maintaining case files, and assisting with property transactions from instruction to completion.

Responsibilities include:

- Drafting correspondence
- Organizing client records
- Scheduling appointments
- Handling incoming calls and emails in a professional manner
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders to gather information, update case progress, and ensure smooth completion of matters
This is a full-time role based in Hope.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in law and an understanding of conveyancing or general legal practice is preferable.
- Proficiency in document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and file management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Experience in administrative assistance within a legal or professional services environment.
- Background as a legal assistant or similar support role, with familiarity in managing caseloads and deadlines.
- Competence using case management systems, office software (e.g., Word, Excel), and digital filing tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Previous experience in property law or conveyancing is an advantage.
- Relevant vocational qualification or coursework in legal studies or paralegal practice is beneficial.
