Opportunity for a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary

An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to join a well-established legal practice, committed to delivering a high standard of client service.

As a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary, you will provide administrative and legal support to the conveyancing team, ensuring property transactions are progressed efficiently from instruction through to completion.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Preparing correspondence, legal documents, and property-related paperwork with accuracy.
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in line with internal procedures.
  • Managing telephone enquiries, diary appointments, and general client communications.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other third parties to obtain information and provide progress updates.
  • Assisting with property searches, Land Registry matters, and other conveyancing processes.
  • Reviewing legal documentation to ensure accuracy before submission.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Delivering a high standard of client care while building positive and professional relationships.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previously worked as a Conveyancing Assistant, Conveyancing Secretary, Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Conveyancing Paralegal, Paralegal, or in a similar role.
  • Possess prior experience in conveyancing (highly preferable).
  • Knowledge of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
