Carr & Co Solicitors are an established law firm who have been serving the North East for over forty years. We currently have a vacancy for a full-time Legal Assistant providing support to our Employment and Litigation department.

Attributes:
- Being a good communicator on the telephone, when liaising with clients and with staff
- Good IT skills

Tasks:
- Provide support to the Employment and Litigation Department
- Deal with all calls plus new and existing enquiries
- Arrange appointments/manage diaries
- Open and archive files
- Contact clients to remind of appointment
- Match post with files
- Produce and manage bills to clients
- Prepare standard letters
- Prepare court documents
- Prepare bundles
- Carry out file reviews for progress and manage/monitor deadlines and key dates
- Liaise with court services and other third parties
- Any other tasks reasonably required by us

Experience of working in a legal setting is preferred but not essential.
We are based in Blyth and Morpeth. Your desired office to work from would be considered together with hybrid working across both offices. Working from home is not an option.
