Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary / Paralegal – Employment Law
Location: Berkshire
Salary: Flexibility depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Parkside Recruitment is currently working with a well-established law firm based in Crowthorne, Berkshire, who are looking to appoint a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or career Paralegal to join their Employment Law team.
The client is flexible regarding the level of appointment and will consider candidates at different stages of their legal support career. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day support to the Employment Law fee earner and play an important role in ensuring matters are managed efficiently and clients receive a high standard of service.
Previous Employment Law experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates with strong legal support experience from other practice areas may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing client files using the firm's case management system
- Completing client onboarding, compliance, and anti-money laundering checks
- Liaising with clients, arranging appointments, and responding to general queries
- Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
- Preparing and processing invoices
- Maintaining accurate and organized electronic and physical files
- Liaising with barristers, the Employment Tribunal, other law firms, and relevant third parties
- Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Employment Law fee earner
- Scanning, photocopying, filing, and data entry
- Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties as required

Candidate Requirements
The client is open to considering candidates from Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Paralegal backgrounds.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a legal support, legal secretarial, or Paralegal position
- Employment Law experience would be highly desirable
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A professional and client-focused approach
- Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Previous experience using a legal case management system would be advantageous
- The ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy legal environment
