About the Role
The selected candidate will work on day-to-day casework. The primary focus will be on navigating refusal letters and preparing bundles for Court. This will include preparing documentary evidence, witness statements and contacting the clientele.
The selected candidate will get to experience the preparation of the legal work behind Immigration appeals and operations in Court. On many occasions, they will get the opportunity to attend the relevant Court to witness their casework in live action.
The main areas will be:
- Immigration (deportation, asylum, trafficking, human rights and entry clearance matters)
- Family law (divorce and child arrangements)
The selected candidate will be expected to work in the office and will work in a dynamic new legal team that is being developed by Kolade Jegede.
Language
Due to the clientele that is generated mostly at present, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese-speaking candidates are essential to the many roles being considered under this post.

Self-employed role and payment
This is a self-employed role. Please conduct relevant checks to assess the difference between self-employment and employment (Supervisor is happy to explain further during the interview process).
The amount given to the selected candidate will range from £21,000 to £23,000 per annum. A 10% commission is usually given to candidates who can also bring/develop their own clientele.
About the Supervisor
Kolade Kubisehin-Jegede has been practising as a solicitor for over 8 years. He became a partner after 4 years as a qualified solicitor and has since become a prominent leader in the Immigration sector. A unique aspect of his practice is that he represents most of the Immigration and Family hearings, which means he covers all the substantive casework and the presentation of the case before the First-tier and Upper Tribunals. This also extends to representation at Family Court.
