Are you looking to build a successful career in the legal sector? We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our successful Fast Track RTA team.
This is an ideal role for someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and eager to gain hands-on experience within a busy legal environment. Supporting experienced Fee Earners, you will play a vital role in ensuring cases progress efficiently while delivering excellent service to our clients.
As a Legal Assistant, you'll gain exposure to the litigation process from instruction through to conclusion, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their legal knowledge and take their first steps into the profession.
What You'll Be Doing

- Providing administrative support to ensure the efficient management of Fast Track RTA claims.
- Recovering evidence including recovery of medical records, opening new files, closing off files, updating court diary.
- Assisting with the opening, maintenance and closing of legal files in accordance with company procedures.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post, ensuring documentation is handled accurately and promptly.
- Handling client and third-party telephone enquiries, taking messages and responding where appropriate.
- Preparing standard legal correspondence, precedent letters, attendance notes and internal memoranda.
- Supporting with court-related administration, including completion and lodging of court documents where required.
- Conducting legal research and gathering information to support case progression.
- Assisting with billing and other financial administrative tasks to support fee earners in achieving their objectives.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems.
- Ensuring work is completed within agreed timescales and in line with quality standards.

What We're Looking For
We're interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive and professional approach to work.
- Confidence when dealing with clients and external stakeholders.
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Previous legal administration experience is desirable but not essential.
