THE ROLE
In this role you will work in a fast-paced conveyancing department which specialises in new build and re-sale shared ownership transactions including Staircasing. You will be speaking with clients and referrers on a daily basis whilst progressing their files. You will work closely with the Team, and the Head of Shared Ownership who will be close at hand to support you developing in the role, as well as the other fee earners in the team.
This is a great opportunity for a candidate to specialise within the shared ownership team and grow & develop within this department.
THE DAY TO DAY:
- Assisting on the acquisition and disposal of Shared Ownership properties
- Assisting on the acquisition of New Build Shared Ownership Plot purchases
- Assisting in dealing with financial arrangements related to property acquisitions on behalf of buyer / lender including mortgage arrangements and Gifts
- To create and coordinate correspondence and document files for each individual client matter according to the standards laid down by the firm and other governing bodies
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and with other professional contacts
- Assist fee earners in promotion and marketing activities of the team
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
To be successful in this role you should have strong experience ideally within Shared Ownership and/or conveyancing team.
- Conveyancing/Shared Ownership experience obtained in a similar role.
- Good knowledge of residential property processes and procedures and confidence in managing transactions.
- Secretarial and audio dictation experience.
- Efficient and well organised, with attention to detail.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable and flexible with ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise a case workload within tight time constraints under pressure.
