Job description: Legal Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Legal Assistant will provide essential support to attorneys, ensuring efficient case management.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing files.
  • Manage case files, including filing, document review, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with receptionist duties.
  • Submit electronic court filings.
  • Utilize legal software for effective case management.
  • Maintain calendars for court appearances, client meetings, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects.
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding case updates and scheduling appointments.
  • Organize and manage litigation materials for court proceedings.
  • Perform data entry tasks and maintain filing systems to ensure easy access to documents.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Strong writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Effective phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills for client interactions.
  • Experience with project management is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Office 365.
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction.
