Totum Partners are working with a top-tier international law firm in the City of London to recruit an experienced Legal Biller. This is a great opportunity to join a small, collaborative team within a well-established global firm. The role offers hybrid working (three days in the office and two from home), with hours of 9:30am–5:30pm.
What you’ll be doing:
- Generating invoices, ensuring tax, payor, currency, and client instructions are accurate
- Processing billing adjustments including credits, reissues, write-offs, and corrections
- Supporting complex, multi-currency billing across international and global teams
- Managing regular billing cycles and meeting agreed deadlines and client terms
- Tracking WIP and month-end activity, maintaining accurate, audit-ready records
- Reviewing engagement terms in line with SRA and HMRC requirements
- Handling billing queries via shared inbox and portal
- Supporting process improvements and assisting colleagues where needed
- Working closely with internal and global teams to resolve billing issues

What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a legal billing environment
- Experience with complex billing, including multi-currency, multi-payor, VAT/WHT
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with PAs, fee earners, and senior stakeholders
- Good understanding of engagement letters and company structures
- Knowledge of SRA accounting rules
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
