Legal Business Partner, EMEA

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal Business Partner, EMEA based in United Kingdom.

As a Legal Business Partner, you’ll provide commercially focused legal guidance to teams operating across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

You’ll act as a trusted legal counterpart to commercial, partnerships, and operations teams, helping the business move forward while managing risk thoughtfully.

Your work will span complex commercial contracts, payments regulation, data protection, corporate matters, and strategic expansion initiatives.

You’ll collaborate with a globally distributed Legal and Compliance function, leveraging established frameworks while helping improve them as the business evolves.

The role offers significant exposure to new markets, products, partnerships, and the rapidly developing payments and fintech landscape.

You’ll need to balance strong legal judgment with pragmatism, commercial awareness, and the ability to turn complex issues into actionable recommendations.

This is a fully remote leadership-level opportunity for a lawyer who wants to make a direct impact in a fast-growing international technology environment.

Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary legal business partner for commercial, partnerships, and operations teams across the EMEA region, providing pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate merchant, partner, vendor, and other commercial agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Apply established global contracting playbooks while identifying opportunities to improve templates, processes, and contracting practices.
  • Advise business stakeholders on payments regulation and data protection requirements, including European regulatory frameworks and GDPR.
  • Partner with the global Legal and Compliance team to assess regulatory developments and maintain an appropriate legal and compliance framework for the business model.
  • Support the company’s regulatory positioning as a technology orchestration layer that does not hold customer funds.
  • Support corporate maintenance and governance matters for regional entities, coordinating with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and corporate service providers.
  • Provide legal guidance on market entry, new products, strategic partnerships, and other growth initiatives across the region.
  • Identify and assess legal and commercial risks while developing practical solutions that enable business objectives.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously across jurisdictions, teams, and time zones in a fast-moving international environment.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner rather than simply a legal reviewer.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
