Legal Cashier
Location: Central London
Working Pattern: Hybrid | Full-Time
The Opportunity
An international professional services organisation is looking to appoint a Legal Cashier to join its established finance team. This position offers exposure to a broad range of financial operations, supporting the effective management of client funds, banking activities and wider finance administration.
Working within a collaborative environment, you will play an important role in ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, regulatory obligations are met and internal stakeholders receive a high standard of service.
This opportunity would suit an individual with previous experience in legal finance, professional services finance or a regulated accounting environment.
Key Duties
Client & Transaction Management
- Manage incoming and outgoing client-related financial transactions in line with established controls and procedures.
- Verify banking information and support secure payment processes.
- Monitor account activity, identifying and resolving discrepancies where required.
- Assist internal stakeholders with transaction queries and account-related matters.
- Ensure client funds are administered in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.

Banking & Financial Administration
- Support the day-to-day management of banking activities across multiple accounts.
- Review, investigate and clear outstanding transactions and reconciling differences.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with payment administration and treasury-related activities.
Financial Control & Compliance
- Adhere to internal financial controls and operational procedures.
- Support audit requests and provide transactional evidence when required.
- Escalate risks, exceptions or irregularities promptly.
- Contribute towards process reviews and operational improvements.
Finance Operations Support
- Assist with supplier and payment-related enquiries.
- Support billing and invoice distribution processes across various delivery channels.
- Provide assistance with expense-related administration.
- Contribute to wider finance projects and departmental initiatives.
About You
We're interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience within legal finance, cashiering, accounts administration or finance operations.
- Working knowledge of client account processes within a regulated environment.
- Understanding of compliance requirements relating to client funds and financial controls.
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and service-focused approach.
- Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
