Join our busy Newcastle Finance team as a Legal Cashier!

If you would like to play a vital role in a fast-paced, high-impact finance environment, then our Finance team could be for you. We have a newly created role for a motivated Legal Cashier to join us and make a real difference. Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you'll assist with the finance and accounting functions of the department, while ensuring compliance with Solicitors' Accounts Rules.

What will I be doing?

  • Daily maintenance of client and office ledgers, and related records.
  • Cash allocations and online electronic payments (BACS, Faster Payments, Chaps, and Cheques).
  • Debiting online electronic payments to the finance system.
  • Responsible for client balances and taking card payments from clients.
  • Assisting with queries received both internally and externally.

You'll have

  • Good knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, balancing and prioritising workload.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
