Totum Partners are working with a well-regarded law firm to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Finance team, supporting multiple UK offices and working closely with the Senior Legal Cashier and wider Cashiering team.
What you'll be doing:
- Posting client and office receipts
- Processing client and office payments via CHAPS, cheque and file uploads
- Handling client-to-office transfers
- Completing daily bank reconciliations
- Ensuring deposit interest is paid on matters when due
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring documentation is correctly filed
- Liaising with colleagues across UK offices, responding to queries and supporting fee earners
- Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures
- Working with multi-currency transactions
- Meeting key deadlines and adhering to agreed timetables

What we're looking for:
- Experience in a Legal Cashier role is essential
- Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Experience processing client and office account transactions
- Ability to work accurately in a busy environment with competing deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
