Totum Partners are working with a well-regarded law firm to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative Finance team, supporting multiple UK offices and working closely with the Senior Legal Cashier and wider Cashiering team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Posting client and office receipts
  • Processing client and office payments via CHAPS, cheque and file uploads
  • Handling client-to-office transfers
  • Completing daily bank reconciliations
  • Ensuring deposit interest is paid on matters when due
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring documentation is correctly filed
  • Liaising with colleagues across UK offices, responding to queries and supporting fee earners
  • Ensuring compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules and internal procedures
  • Working with multi-currency transactions
  • Meeting key deadlines and adhering to agreed timetables

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a Legal Cashier role is essential
  • Strong understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Experience processing client and office account transactions
  • Ability to work accurately in a busy environment with competing deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
