Role Description
The Legal Cashier role is a full-time, on-site position based in Nottingham, with a salary of £25,000 per annum.
The role will support the Senior Cashier and wider finance function with the day-to-day financial administration of the firm. Responsibilities will include:

- Processing and posting financial transactions
- Completing daily banking
- Assisting with billing
- Handling client and office account payments
- Supporting credit control
- Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the firm and will be expected to manage their workload effectively, maintain a high level of accuracy and contribute to the smooth operation of the firm’s finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in legal finance. We welcome applications from school leavers, recent university graduates and candidates at the beginning of their careers. Previous legal cashiering experience is not required, as full on-the-job training will be provided. The role also offers opportunities to undertake relevant vocational qualifications and develop within the firm.

Qualifications
- Good numerical ability and confidence working with figures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage tasks with appropriate supervision.
- Good computer literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and the judgement to ask for guidance when required.
- Previous experience in a law firm, finance or professional services environment is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules is advantageous but is not required.
- No specific degree is required. School leavers and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
