Location: Market Drayton/Telford, Shropshire

Contract: Starting July 2027, 13-month Fixed Term Contract

What You'll Be Doing

Join Müller’s Legal team for a 13-month placement where you’ll work alongside qualified solicitors on a wide range of legal and compliance matters — all while contributing to a business that’s passionate about quality, innovation, and people.

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your legal knowledge in a dynamic FMCG setting, supporting teams across marketing, procurement, sales, and more. You’ll be involved in meaningful work that helps shape how we operate, communicate, and protect our brand.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities Include:

  • Marketing & Advertising Compliance: Work closely with the marketing team to review advertising campaigns, social media posts, promotions, and other materials, ensuring they meet CAP code requirements.
  • Contract Drafting & Review: Assist in drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts, including NDAs, supply agreements, terms of sale, and promotional terms.
  • Legal Advice & Stakeholder Support: Help provide legal guidance across the business, liaising with internal teams such as procurement, marketing, and sales.
  • Packaging Review: Support the legal team in reviewing and approving new product packaging.
  • Intellectual Property (IP): Contribute to managing our IP portfolio, including trademark searches, registrations, renewals, and general IP advice.
  • Legal Research: Conduct research and present findings in a clear, accessible way to the legal team and other stakeholders.
  • Training & Education: Help develop and deliver legal training sessions for other departments.
  • Templates & Precedents: Create and update legal templates and precedents for use across the business.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from law students who are eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution. If you’re on track to achieve a 2:1 or above and looking for a placement year full of variety, challenge, and development — we’d love to hear from you.

Key Skills & Experience Include:

  • Interest in Commercial Law: A genuine curiosity about how law supports business operations.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and care in reviewing documents and data.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly.
  • Organisation: Able to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Collaboration & Initiative: Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability: Resilient and positive in a fast-changing environment.
  • Curiosity: Willing to ask questions and challenge assumptions.
  • Digital Confidence: Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence – held for at least one year - is required.
  • UK Residency: Eligibility to work in the UK (Please note this role is not eligible for sponsorship as the salary falls below the required threshold.)
