We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Legal & Compliance Support Officer to join our Legal, Governance & Commercial team.

This role provides essential administrative and operational support across a range of corporate and professional services, helping to ensure governance, legal and business processes are delivered efficiently and effectively. Working in a fast-paced and regulated environment, you will play an important role in supporting decision-making, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes.

About The Role

As a Legal & Compliance Support Officer, you will provide high-quality business support across a variety of service areas, helping teams operate effectively and ensuring key governance and legal processes run smoothly.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to managers and teams across the service
  • Coordinate meetings and governance processes, including preparing agendas, taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Manage enquiries and shared inboxes, ensuring requests are responded to or directed appropriately
  • Support the administration and maintenance of legal documentation, agreements, contracts and records
  • Maintain accurate registers and tracking systems, monitoring key dates, actions and obligations
  • Administer business and case management systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
  • Produce reports and management information to support decision-making and service performance
  • Support the development and improvement of business processes and administrative procedures
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to support collaborative working
  • Provide flexible support across multiple teams in response to changing business priorities

About You

You will be an organised and professional administrator who enjoys working in a structured environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality support.

You will bring:

  • Experience in an administrative, business support or coordination role
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • The ability to work accurately and methodically, with excellent attention to detail
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders
  • High levels of professionalism, integrity and personal accountability
