Legal & Contract Coordinator
Altrad are currently looking for a Legal & Contract Coordinator to join our team based in Aberdeen.
The successful candidate will act as a Contract Support Services focal point for contractual related projects, ensure a well maintained and populated central contract repository and provide legal and commercial support across the UK business.
Key Deliverables
- Support the business with collation of executed contracts and management of Contract Repository
- Act as point of contact for contract related projects as required from time to time
- Maintain and update as requested related contract support procedure including standard contract templates, NDA’s etc
- Support the Contract Support Services team with contract queries and legal research
- Assist with the drafting and negotiation of contracts, amendments, NDAs, framework agreements and other commercial documents as required by the business
- Assist with the training and implementation of contract governance processes
- Maintain contract management systems and legal document repositories, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
- Prepare, format and coordinate the execution of contracts, legal correspondence and corporate documents
- Track key contractual obligations, notices, renewal dates and compliance requirements
- Assist in the management of disputes, claims, litigation and external legal advisers, including the collation of information and maintenance of matter files
- Support corporate governance and company secretarial activities, including board and shareholder resolutions, maintenance of statutory records and corporate filings
- Assist with corporate transactions, restructurings and other strategic projects as required
- Support the management of insurance matters, including policy reviews, claims administration, broker engagement and insurance-related contractual reviews
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across commercial, operational, finance, HR and procurement functions to provide practical legal support
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of legal templates, policies, procedures and governance frameworks
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist in assessing their impact on the business
- Support the preparation and delivery of legal awareness training and guidance materials across the business
- Ensure all legal documentation and information is handled confidentially and in accordance with company policies and professional standards

Key Qualifications / Requirements

- Qualified Solicitor, Trainee Solicitor nearing qualification, or Paralegal with relevant commercial legal experience
- Experience reviewing and drafting commercial contracts
- Understanding of contract law, corporate law and legal risk management
- Experience working in-house or supporting commercial organisations would be advantageous
