Are you a Corporate / M&A / Private Equity / Banking lawyer considering a change and looking to use your skillset in a broader, more commercial environment?

We’re partnering with a top-tier global investment manager on a rare opportunity for a senior Legal Counsel to join its Wealth Management business.
This is not a narrow legal role. You’ll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial, corporate, investment and regulatory matters, working closely with senior stakeholders across a global platform.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

The key is that you’re commercially minded, pragmatic and want to broaden your skillset. If you’re a lawyer who enjoys the technical side of law but increasingly wants to understand the business behind the legal advice, this could be a great opportunity to make that pivot.
