Senior Legal Counsel

Location: Solihull | Hybrid Working
Salary: £70,000–£100,000 + bonus + car

We are delighted to be partnering with a leading global organisation in the appointment of an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal function. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional to provide high-quality legal advice across a broad and varied remit, working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting the organisation’s strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on a range of matters, including employment law, commercial contracts, litigation and dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and wider corporate and operational matters. You will play a key role in identifying and managing legal risk, ensuring regulatory compliance and providing practical, commercially focused advice across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Advise on employment law matters, commercial contracts, disputes and litigation.
  • Support the organisation in managing legal and regulatory risk across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Review, draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
  • Provide legal guidance on corporate and operational matters.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external legal advisers where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of effective legal and compliance processes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant legal qualification, such as Solicitor, Lawyer, Legal Executive or equivalent.
  • 7+ years’ relevant legal experience.
  • Strong expertise in Employment Law and Commercial Contracts.
  • Previous in-house legal experience, ideally within a complex or international organisation.
  • A strong commercial mindset, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic and practical legal advice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to work independently while operating effectively with senior colleagues and wider business teams.
