Kepler Interactive is a collective of creatives working together to bring bold, beautiful ideas and experiences to life. We believe in empowering creativity, championing diverse voices, and shaping what’s next in interactive entertainment. To hear more about who we are, check out our CEO Alexis’ article in GI.Biz.

Creativity is at the core of everything we do, it’s the backbone of how we work. We back artistic vision, push boundaries, and believe in doing things differently.

There is space for everyone to have a voice at Kepler, and we expect you to as well. Diversity in thought is where creativity flourishes, and we encourage different people to contribute to conversations they might not normally be involved in. You’ll need to be comfortable pushing yourself to try new things, taking on different responsibilities, challenging others and being challenged, as this is where growth really happens.

Our Values

  • Experimentation: We challenge the norm, stay curious, and move with confidence into the unknown.
  • Kindness: We believe how we treat people matters. We empower and uplift with clarity and honesty.
  • Excellence: We aim high. We think creatively, embrace feedback, and celebrate both wins and lessons learnt along the way.

Overview:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal team, providing support to all areas of Kepler’s business as well as all games within our portfolio. You will be working on a large variety of contracts, and help throughout the whole contract lifecycle; be responsible for our trademarks and regulatory compliance; and assist with company secretarial work and internal legal operations. This is a very broad role that will suit someone who is keen to get involved with a range of tasks, and isn’t afraid of continually being presented with new challenges.

This role is a full-time position, and we’d ideally like someone who can start ASAP. The role reports to the Head of Legal.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage Kepler’s trademark portfolio (with the assistance of external counsel).
  • Be responsible for Kepler’s groupwide compliance with data protection and online safety legislation.
  • Work on a large variety of contracts due to the varied and complex nature of our business. Some common contracts include:
    • Funding, publishing, and marketing contracts with both first-party and third-party studios.
    • Contracts with console and PC platforms.
    • Partnership contracts e.g. transmedia extensions of our developers’ game IP or licensing third-party IP into our games.
    • Game production-related contracts e.g. voiceover, localization, porting, QA.
    • Employment and other HR-related contracts.
    • Other group supplier contracts, such as IT systems and services, office leases, etc.
  • Work and communicate directly with all Kepler teams as well as game studios (both first-party and third-party) and other partners and vendors.
  • Supervise and assist the Paralegal with company secretarial activities, like managing the share option platform, liaising with local counsel to prepare and file board resolutions, shareholder resolutions, board minutes etc.
  • Assist the Head of Legal with M&A projects.
  • Any ad-hoc activities based on business needs and responsibilities as assigned.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who you are:

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales. This role would best suit someone with between one and four years of post-qualification experience, but all levels will be considered.
  • Previous experience in the games industry is highly desirable, and at the very least we will expect you to have experience working in another creative or IP-focused industry, and to be able to demonstrate a genuine interest, desire and passion to work in games.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and the ability to prioritise and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work autonomously but also a team player who can contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms to non-legal colleagues and partners.
  • Your values align with ours.
  • Any expertise in French, Mandarin or Japanese would be helpful, but by no means necessary.
