Role Description
You will provide front-line legal support to senior leaders across our Operations, Central Services and Global Technology Business Units, providing pragmatic, risk-based legal advice and acting as a trusted business partner. Your key focus will be commercial and IT contracts, but you will also support compliance and advance the Company’s CSR and legal compliance agenda across the operational teams. This means one day you might be advising on a framework agreement for the purchase of luxury packaging; then negotiating a major technology transformation contract; and then advising the business on the latest packaging legislation. In a fast-paced, dynamic business, pretty much any and every type of legal work is in scope. You won’t be on your own though. There is an internal legal team you can lean on to support you and you’ll instruct and work with external counsel too.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
