About us Perspective Financial Group is one of the UK's most active financial planning and wealth management groups. Founded in 2008, we now have 70+ offices, 950+ staff and £16bn+ of assets under advice, backed by US private equity firm Charlesbank Capital Partners.

We have completed 138 acquisitions to date, 27 of them in the last twelve months, ranging from sole trader IFAs to firms of 50 people.

The opportunity Our legal team is small, close-knit and led by our General Counsel. Acquisition volumes have grown, and the team's focus has always leant towards M&A, leaving a gap for someone to take ownership of the commercial and generalist workload across the Group.

What you will be doing

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including supplier, IT and consultancy contracts, alongside bespoke financial services documentation
  • Providing day to day legal advice across operations, finance, compliance, property and M&A, working closely with our General Counsel
  • Supporting on property matters across our office network, largely by instructing and managing external counsel
  • Handling regulatory queries, employment matters and claims as they arise
  • Supporting our joint venture and partnership arrangements
  • Building out contract templates, playbooks and processes as the Group scales
  • Supporting our M&A activity if that interests you. It is available rather than compulsory

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About you

  • A qualified solicitor with around 2 to 4 years' PQE – others should still apply
  • A commercial contracts background is ideal, gained in private practice or in-house.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, and able to explain risk simply to people who are not lawyers
  • Organised enough to run your own workload across several competing priorities
  • Comfortable being a generalist, picking up unfamiliar issues quickly and taking a view
  • Open to AI. The legal team is already using specialist legal AI software in its own work and as a function is enthusiastic how the use of AI can help support the wider business as efficiently as possible
  • Financial services or another regulated environment is useful but not essential
