Legal Counsel - UK & Ireland

Are you ready to take ownership of legal matters across the UK and Ireland while partnering with an international technology business? Do you want to advise on complex software licensing, IT services, public sector, and commercial technology agreements? Is your next step a role where you can balance legal risk with commercial objectives and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business functions?

As our new Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting SoftwareOne’s business across the UK and Ireland. Working within an international environment, you will provide legal guidance on commercial and technology-related matters, helping the business navigate contractual, regulatory, and operational requirements while supporting sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage legal matters for SoftwareOne’s subsidiaries in the UK and Ireland
  • Review, draft, negotiate, and advise on software licensing, IT services, managed services, framework, public sector, supplier, partner, and customer agreements
  • Coordinate relationships with external legal advisors and consultants
  • Support business divisions and cross-functional projects with legal guidance and risk management
  • Provide legal support to Sales, Finance, Procurement, and HR teams
  • Assist with data protection matters, including review of DPAs and collaboration with Internal Data Protection and Compliance teams

Job Requirements

  • Grounding in contract law with experience in commercial and technology agreements
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts in a fast-paced environment
  • Structured, independent, and precise approach to work
  • Business judgment with the ability to balance legal risk and commercial objectives while managing stakeholders effectively
  • Awareness of UK and EU technology regulatory frameworks, including public sector requirements, with exposure to data protection and GDPR-related matters
