We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join an in-house legal team, providing practical, commercially focused advice across a broad range of business activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial, supplier, partnership, technology, licensing and other business agreements.
  • Advising on commercial disputes, litigation, customer complaints and regulatory matters.
  • Supporting marketing, promotions, competitions, advertising and e-commerce activities, including relevant terms and conditions.
  • Advising on intellectual property, brand licensing and third-party rights.
  • Supporting M&A transactions, including due diligence, transaction documentation and post-completion matters.
  • Liaising with regulators, enforcement bodies and external legal advisers where required.
  • Managing external counsel and legal costs effectively.
  • Supporting senior lawyers and supervising junior team members.

Candidate skills:

  • At least 3 years' post-qualification experience with strong commercial contract experience.
  • Confident negotiating and advising in a fast-paced, changing business environment.
  • Commercially minded, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
  • Collaborative, organised and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Ambitious and keen to develop within a large, complex organisation.
