Join the legal team of a rapidly growing, technology-led consumer business that is transforming the eCommerce and delivery experience. Operating in a fast-paced, innovative environment, the business is continuing to expand its network, product offering and market presence, creating a varied and highly commercial role for an ambitious lawyer.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will act as a trusted legal adviser, helping the business achieve its strategic objectives while managing legal and regulatory risk.
The Role
As Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations, strategic projects and commercial growth initiatives. You'll work across a broad range of legal matters, partnering with teams throughout the business to deliver pragmatic, business-focused advice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across a range of business functions.
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, partnership and strategic contracts.
- Support business growth initiatives, including network expansion, new products, commercial opportunities and strategic projects.
- Advise on regulatory, compliance and risk-management issues, balancing legal requirements with commercial objectives.
- Manage disputes, claims and contentious matters, liaising with external counsel where required.
- Support corporate governance and company secretarial activities as needed.
- Drive efficiencies within the legal function through the development of templates, playbooks and streamlined processes.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and provide clear guidance on their potential impact to the business.

About You
You will be a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys partnering with the business and finding practical solutions to complex challenges.

You are likely to have:
- Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales or another common law jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 2 years' PQE gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house legal team.
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Excellent commercial judgement and an ability to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented advice.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to build relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- The ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal issues for non-legal audiences.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
